Situate.

It has been a long time since I have written a blog or even thought about updating my page here. I have been battling back and forth whether or not I have anything to write. But deep within me is always a passion to do so. So I have been dealing with this internal struggle to come up with something worth while that might just engage readers enough.

I took a look at my surroundings and what I am currently doing in my life, and I then compared them to the world travels and amazing new revelations I was coming into a while back. I began to laugh at the comparison, like there was much of one, and then began to doubt in my ability to write new and exciting things. But then I thought deeper and realized that Jesus never waited until He found new, relevant, and exciting things to speak, yet He just spoke and people listened. Granted, He is Jesus and He is an overwhelming being of revelation and knowledge; I can't compare. But I got hit with the idea that my life is a constant journey. The Lord doesn't wait to move until you are on the mission field. He doesn't wait to speak until you are in a prayer room. He doesn't wait to encounter until you move to a country and dedicate your time to helping the poor. Jesus is always moving, He is always speaking, and He is always willing to encounter us at any particular point in our journey of life.

When I used to look back at this past year, I would sort of just think it was a season of transition and I wasn't expecting much to come from it until the Lord called me out to missions again. I know...I fell into the mindset that I have to be doing "missions" work to be effective. I have constantly told so many people that your life is "missions" no matter what you are doing. Whether you go to school, whether you work, or whether you are on the "mission field". I felt like a hypocrite when I realized I wasn't living by that mentality.

I currently look back at this past year and am now struck with constant memories of how the Lord has moved in my life and through my life. I found a jobs and an apartment, and it was hard for me not to think of that as "the normal life". But I now look and realize the Lord has been using me, even when I haven't fully seen it.

For those of you who don't really know what I am up to, I am living in Colorado again, waiting to hear what the Lord has for me...day by day. It was challenging at first. Now it's riveting! I can't tell you how many opportunities I have had to impact people I work with and even the customers within my job. But the enemy blinded me to it. I cried out to the Lord to make a move. But little did I realize He was moving...constantly.

That may all sound so jumbled. But the thing I want to convey is that Jesus is so real and so alive today. He doesn't come alive based on what you are doing in your life that may sound more holy or not. He is always willing to move and impact His children. I have been hungering for travels and to see the Lord move in other nations. That was a hard wall to hit when I felt Him calmly say that He wants to give me a heart for all of His children, regardless of where I am at in the world. I can't say that I have ever really had a "heart" for Colorado, but I can say the Lord is giving me His slowly, because God knows I can only handle so much.

lovevol

A lot of the times when I write blogs, I sit at a coffee shop and people watch for a good 30 minutes before I begin to write something. It fascinates me to watch what people choose to spend their free time or their money on. I begin to look at every person and realize every one has a passion, a creative personality, and a heart that is drawn to love, whether they realize it or not. Everyone was created with a tendency to love or to desire love. That is why this generation is so lost. It's because they are seeking love from things that can't give true love. How can you love someone and seek love from anything until you realize the One who is perfect Love has loved us first?

One of the students on my last outreach, Jordan Frey, shared with our DTS his hope to see healings on our outreach. He tried and tried and saw nothing. He explained that God revealed to Him that Jesus healed people in scriptures because He first loved them. Jesus never didn't operate out of love. Every miracle and healing He saw was because He loved. So Jordan went and tried to get himself to love these broken people so he could see healings. Still nothing. He didn't see one healing, and then the Lord asked Jordan, "How can you love others when you don't know how much I love you?"

One of the greatest commandments from Jesus is to love Him and to love our neighbors and enemies. We all deserve hell. Not one person deserves eternal life. But Jesus in all His graciousness loves each one of us, even if we are idiots. Every person I am looking at in the coffee shop I am in is loved by Jesus. And if that is true, which it is, why can't I love each one of them?
We are called to love.

The school is officially done. I have completed my season here with YWAM for the time being. I just spent the past 8 months praying, worshipping, discipling, learning, growing, and reaching out to the lost. The past season has been absolutely incredible, but I am excited for what is next!

I need help to get home! In completing this school, I am needing to raise more support in order to get home. I am traveling home for the holidays and need help in doing so. The campus is entering a new quarter and I will have no place to stay by the end of this week, so I need to raise a total of $1,000 for my plane ticket! If you could first and foremost pray for me and the provision of the Lord, that would be amazing!

If you do feel led to help support me, that would be a tremendous blessing! You can email me at the.daniel.york@gmail.com with any questions. If you use PayPal, you can click the link below. If that link for some reason doesn't work, you can just donate to my email address through paypal.com.

Thank you all for your prayers and support! I am grateful!

The Funky Fish

As I stood there in front of all these teenagers, I began to share my story about how Jesus is real and how I have a personal relationship with Him. I had no time to prepare, so my words seemed like they were fumbling out of my mouth. But in the end, to my surprise, I watched as each teenager, aged between 13-18 years old, started to bombard me with questions about how Jesus is real. They began to ask me to ask the Lord what He thinks of each of them. These kids were proclaimed atheists, believing in that moment that I could possibly hear from God. So as they asked me, I asked Jesus. I was nervous, yes, but more so excited. The words that came to me from the Lord for these kids seemed so simple and almost too grand for it to have any impact, but I was wrong. The words I received began to impact these kids.

One kid was named Johnny. He was a loud-mouthed, goofy 15 year old who stood on his belief of atheism. He asked me what Jesus thought of Him. I got a picture of fire...that was it. I told him and watched as his eyes grew and he started to grab his head, saying, "I love fire! How did you know?" The rest of the night continued, and Johnny, who always seems to be the center of attention, walked outside by himself to think about what had happened. I went out to talk with him. The only word he could use to describe what had happened was "Weird". He was speechless, realizing that there could potentially be a God reaching out to him that very moment. I encouraged him to ask the Lord to prove He is real. I said that it will take a leap of faith no matter what you choose to believe.

The night came to a close and everyone was leaving. It was a crisp night in Bandon, and at around 11pm, we began to say our goodbyes. Johnny walked out of The Funky Fish cafe (yes, that was the name of it) we were at, looked back with a surprised look on his face, and then asked if his friends had called his name. All the teenagers denied they said anything. He then ran to the owner of the cafe and said, "It sounded like a friend called my name. I realize it was Jesus! He is real...He is real! I know it now!"

This testimony of our time in Ireland was just one of many amazing things that our team saw. From hearings and miracles, to seeing an atheist get encountered by the Lord, and we just got to play a small part in the bigger picture for this nation.

If any of you want to hear more stories, please email me and ask me, I would love to share more of what the Lord has been doing.

I am now back in Kona, Hawaii. We graduated all the Awaken DTS students yesterday and officially said farewell to this past season.

I am finishing up my time here in Kona with staff debriefing as well as joining the prayer and worship crew for another month. I am heading to Colorado to spend the rest of the year with my family and to greet my new niece who was born while I was gone! I am more than excited for this next season to rest in the Lord and truly seek Him with what could be next for me.

So first off, thank you ALL who supported me financially and through prayer. Sorry for the lack of updates, but thank you for sowing into my season of amazing growth with Jesus and my absolutely incredible time in Ireland. I would not have been able to do it without you guys! And you guys get to reap the rewards as well!

If you could continue to pray for me as I transition out of Kona into a season of seeking Jesus with community and family, that would be an amazing blessing! I need your prayers!

Thank you all again!

Spilling Over

It was a cloudy day, the first in a long while, so we suited up and hit the streets of Bray, Ireland. The carnival was in town, and the weather didn't seem to keep anyone away. It was crowded with families, dogs, kids, and a few lonely stragglers. My team and I walked along the sea wall, praying and looking for whoever the Lord had on His heart for us to pray for. I felt this burning in my gut, pushing me in the sense of talking to this man sitting alone. He was there for at least an hour just watching the carnival, not a smile was on his face. I knew I had to talk to him, but what would I say?

I slowly made my way by myself, sat next to him on the wall in front of the carnival in the midst of a frigid breeze and mumbled, "How often does this carnival come around?" He sat there and shook his head in uncertainty. I then went on to ask his name. He said his name was Marian, and he lightly chuckled, saying that his name was a girl's name. I laughed. He went on to tell me his occupation. He was a home designer and a home builder. He then began to show me pictures of his house. He mentioned that every part of his house was built with his own hands. As we looked at his phone, he began to show me pictures of all his kids and his wife. I probably said a total of 3 words as he began to tell me why his family lives in Poland and he lives in Ireland. It was amazing.

I went on to ask if he felt lonely. He said yes. I proceeded to tell him about Jesus and how He is the comforter; that Jesus desires to be with him. Marian was moved. I began to say that this life of relationship with Jesus is possible for him. We began to pray. He confessed his sins and proclaimed that he desired a relationship with Jesus. He went from being the sullen man on the wall to praying excitingly, letting the emotion of his heart spill over. He gave his life to the Lord that day. Marian thanked me over and over before he went to work.

Ireland has been absolutely incredible. This was just one of many stories of the Lord moving on people out here. We have seen salvations, healings, and especially freedom amongst believers! It has been absolutely astounding. Jesus is so worthy in this nation. We have been doing homeless ministry in different parts of Ireland every week with Tiglin (Teen Challenge) out here. Jesus is saving His children out of the pits of hell and giving them freedom!

I know this is a short update, but thank you all for your prayers and support! I am definitely humbled that I get to be apart of this amazing journey, and a big part of my thanks goes to you guys for helping me get out here!

We still have just over a month left. Please continue to pray that all the seeds that have been planted grow and that we have more divine encounters.

If you pray and feel led to still help mean my journey out here and beyond Ireland, please message me at the.daniel.york@gmail.com. Or you can simply donate through PayPal to my email.

Thanks again!

Awaken Ireland

In one month,  I will be embarking on exciting journey with 6 others to the nation of Ireland. If you have been getting updates from me for a while, you will know how exciting this really is for me to be able to lead this outreach team to this very special nation that is immensely dear to my heart!

If you are sitting there asking why we would go to Ireland, I will go on to tell you that the Lord’s heart is for this nation to be a family and to come to know Jesus as the Father, the Healer, the Comforter, and the Savior. Not many people realize that Ireland is one nation that is incredibly separated. The nation as a whole is split up into the North and the Republic, or even more specifically, the Protestants (North) and the Catholics (Republican). Many families in Ireland carry generations of hate towards each other without even really knowing why. There is a peace wall that runs along the north, separating the Catholics and the Protestants. It is a physical representation of disunity in the nation. The Irish kill the British out of hatred and disunity, and vice versa. This gorgeous nation suffers from the stronghold of death and disunity.

My heart is to see this nation revived! I desire not to choose a side and try to convert the other. Yet, I desire to be a bridge of unity, pointing to the one true Father of Hope. We know we can see this nation join in the family and body of Christ just by being relational.

We are heading out to Ireland to serve the country and other ministries. We will team up a bit with the YWAM crew and others as well, yet our main goal is to ask the Lord His heart everyday for His people and what He would have for them, and then to be obedient in what He asks us to do! From worship in the streets to reaching out to the homeless, we desire to build friendships and trust with the Irish people so that they can see the hope and love of Jesus through us. We know Jesus lives inside of us and He wants to change the hearts of the lost. So, we plan on doing that! We plan on seeing the power of Jesus released! We plan on seeing miracles and healings! But most importantly, we plan on seeing the lost saved and for there to be unity in the body of Christ! We pray that these people would know their father!

If this stirs your spirit, which I pray it does, then you have the possibility to partner with us in seeing this done in this nation! We need your prayers and support! I promise, if you choose to sow into this outreach, you will reap the rewards of heaven! You will be playing a very crucial role in the lives of the lost! If you want to see salvations and healings and miracles, but can’t go to Ireland when we do physically, you can sow into it spiritually and still reap the rewards!

You can first of all pray for our team and for the nation! Prayer is the most powerful thing we believers can do for one another. We need prayer in these areas:

1. We do not have housing for Ireland at the moment. But we know Jesus will provide! Please pray that the right doors open and that we can find a place to rest our heads in Dublin, Ireland.

2. Pray for strength, wisdom, and joy! Ireland is a beautiful country, but it definitely is a heavy place spiritually! Pray that we have unity and joy in the midst of the strongholds of disunity and death.

3. Pray that the Lord’s will be done in this nation! Pray that we have boldness!

4. Lastly, please pray for finances! I am so excited to be able to be apart of this journey, but it is not free, nor do we get paid! I need to raise $7,000 by next week to be able to lead this team! If you sow financially into this outreach, I again promise you that you will reap the benefits and rewards of heaven! We can’t go to this nation and minister to these people without this money! We know the Lord will provide, so please simply pray and ask the Lord if you are to donate!

Thank you already for all your prayers and support! We are grateful!
If you do pray and feel led to help support us financially, that would be a tremendous blessing! You can do so by clicking the PayPal link below. If the link doesn't work, you can still send me a donation to my email address at the.daniel.york@gmail.com or you can email me with any questions! Thank you again!

Removing

I have to be honest, when I begin to write a blog, I stare at the screen for quite a while just thinking of what I could write about. The thing is, Jesus is so faithful in the midst of every circumstance that I feel I just repeat myself constantly in my blogs. But I really can't get over the fact that Jesus is a wonderful, faithful, caring, just, merciful, and mighty God. We will never fully understand the God we serve; it is an endless journey, and it will be that way in eternity.

I want to live a life removed from boundaries that the world sets up. I want to live radically! The same spirit that was with Jesus on earth lives inside of me! It doesn't have to be a huge equation to understand the power we carry as believers on earth. The Lord is desperate to move on the broken hearted, to heal the sick, to save the lost, and to revive this world. I just want to play my part. My problems are so petty.

I just want to dance on my problems and move on to the greater things that Jesus calls me to be apart of!

If we realized what we carried, no insecurity or worry would hold us back. Jesus, set my heart on fire. Remove the boundaries we have set up over our hearts! Let us live radically for you!

This past week we had a guy named Chad Dedmon speak to our DTS. If you know anything about Chad, you know he walks in a radical calling of miracles and healing. But if you really knew him, you would understand that he us just a regular guy walking out in the knowledge of the Holy Spirit inside of him.

I want that!

The students are getting stirred up and stoked for outreach, which is exactly one month away from today!
Whoa.
Thank you all for your prayers and support for me during this time!

Since we leave in one month from today, we are in need of some more prayer and support! So get your prayer hands ready for the radical list of prayer requests below!

1. We still need housing for our team in Dublin, Ireland! The Lord continues to speak to our team that we need to station ourselves in Dublin, yet we have no housing. But since the Lord has spoken it, we know He will provide! So please be praying that the doors open up wide!

2. Pray that we are filled with strength and heaven's perspective for this outreach! It is going to be a wild 3 months, but all of us are so expectant and ready for what the Lord has! Pray that we are able to change the spiritual atmosphere rather than the other way around!

3. Finances! I am needing to raise $7,000 for this outreach. I am needing this money to come in as soon as possible! So please be praying the Lord releases it in Jesus' name!

If you have prayed and feel led to support us monthly or with a one time donation, that would be a TREMENDOUS blessing! You can do so by clicking the PayPal link below. If that link doesn't work, just send a PayPal donation online to my email at the.daniel.york@gmail.com. I promise you will reap the fruit of this incredible outreach to Ireland!

If you have any questions, please feel free to email me!

Thanks again for all of your prayers! We feel them!

Fully

Have we ever really sat down and thought about how the fact that Jesus was fully man and fully God? How could that even be possible?
He came to earth, dwelt as a man; God, in human form. He suffered every temptation and pain that we go through today. Yet, He lived a perfect life because He knew His inheritance was in the Kingdom of Heaven. He was moved and guided by the fact that He was God. But he felt the emotion, temptation, and pain of men.

I think sometimes we read that Jesus was tempted as a man, but maybe we just dismiss it, thinking it was easy for Him to deny sin. But truth is, when scripture says He was tempted, that means He struggled with the thought of what to choose; what is right or wrong. The Father promised Jesus all the kingdoms in all the world in all their glory. But in order to obtain this inheritance, He had to come to earth as a man and be crucified, suffering for the gaining of the Kingdom of Heaven. We sometimes overlook that satan took Jesus into the wilderness, and in the midst of this, he revealed all the kingdoms of the world in all their glory right before Jesus. Everything the Father had promised Jesus was in front of Him. All Jesus would have to do is bow before satan and submit to him. That's it. He wouldn't have to be crucified or suffer any pain. But Jesus, in His heart, knew the promise of His Father, and was then struck with a decision of how He wanted to walk as a man on earth.

We can relate to Jesus on every level. He is a holy being, but He is also our Father and Friend who can understand everything we go through because He has gone through it all as well.

This Discipleship Training School has been so amazing and revelatory for me and for all the students. We have watched as Jesus has been making Himself so real to all of us in a greater way. We have watched people get healed from physical and emotional pain. We have watched as identities are restored. It has been such an incredible privilege to be here, running with these amazing people.

I wouldn't be able to witness this or be here without you guys and all your prayer and support!

As you know, we have gotten into our outreach teams. I have the amazing honor of leading 6 students (2 guys, 4 girls) to the incredible nation of Ireland! As we progress to this outreach, there are some needs we are running into.

If you guys are willing, please pray for our team and that we have strength, wisdom, and joy as we run together in this season. As of right now, Anna and I have not been able to find housing for our team out in Dublin, Ireland. It was important that the doors open up for this soon, so please be praying that Jesus releases the perfect place for our team!

By this thursday, I need a total of $500 for my plane ticket to Ireland. If you do feel led to help support me in this urgent financial need, I would be tremendously blessed! You can always donate through the PayPal link below or just by donating to my email address, which is the.daniel.york@gmail.com. Business

God is in the business of freeing His people from strongholds so that they can live a life worthy of His calling. Burdens, worries, shame, and condemnation are falling to the wayside and the enemy will no longer have a hold on the Lord's children. We have victory in Jesus, even in the midst of failure and falling. Jesus has given us a calling that we can't escape, but it is our choice, and in the midst of this calling, there is purity, strength, wisdom, and freedom!

This past week was the first week of the Awaken DTS (Discipleship Training School) that I am staffing! We jumped in to all of the staff sharing their personal testimonies. Each testimony is a glorification of Jesus and the way He has set each and everyone of us free, and it was encouraging for the students to see a goal so easily obtainable; a goal of freedom and relationship with Jesus.

We have watched as these 40+ students have abandoned all other things just to simply seek out Jesus! Just in this first week we have seen these students being set free from shame of their past. They are so hungry and ready to give it all up for the simplicity of a life with Jesus! He is that worthy!

I have staffed 2 other schools aside from this one, and the Lord continues to make revival a reality in our hearts. I have never seen a school of students so hungry within the first week for Jesus and the call He has on their lives! These students are ready to share the gospel, ready to give themselves up to a life set apart for Him and Him alone, and ready for any freedom they know they can walk through!

As the school continues, I will share more specific testimonies of what Jesus is doing, but for now, I just want to say thank you to those who read these updates and support me through prayer! I would not be able to be apart of this radical school and transformation in the lives of these students if it wasn't for you! I am so honored and blessed!

The students find out outreach locations soon, and when that time comes, I will write another update of where I am taking a team later on this year! But until then, thank you again for the prayers and support in this time!

Deepening

When I was around 4, I gave my life to the Lord strictly out of fear of going to hell, even though I didn't have any idea of what hell really was. Throughout my life, I constantly gave my life to the Lord over and over out of fear that I didn't do it right the first time. I grew up a christian, with a christian lifestyle, christian morals, and christian habits. I went to church and was always involved. But up until about 3 years ago, my christian walk was simply not as vivid as it could have been. I loved Jesus and I knew that He was my Savior. But man, I had no idea who He really was. I thought that since I "loved" Him, that I automatically would get to heaven, and that I was safe. But I had no idea that a life lived for Jesus could be as exciting as it seems to me now.

Three years ago, I came out to do a Discipleship Training School here in Kona, HI. The night that I arrived, I was prayed for by one of my staff of the school. The Lord then began to speak to me, asking, "How deep will you let me go?"

All I remember is crying out, "Deep, Jesus, go so deep!"

That night, I had a dream. In this dream, I was standing on the side walk with chains around my feet. Next to me were stores called "Rejection", "Self Hatred", and "Depression". I remember being happy, and not even really realizing that I was trapped. I saw Jesus in the sky looking at me saying, "Daniel, come join me!" I remember looking at Him and saying, "That is okay, Jesus, I can see you from down here!" He then replied to me saying, "Daniel, I have so much more for you, come here!" And then I looked at my feet, realizing I was trapped. I looked back up and said, "Jesus, I can't. I am stuck." Instantly, He looked at me and my chains snapped off! I then began flying up towards Jesus, feeling so exhilarated.

I woke up from this dream crying, running to the shower and turning it on so none of my roommates could hear me. I had realized that my whole life, I could look at Jesus and see who He was, but I was never walking with Him.

Now, 3 years later, I have dedicated my life to walking with Jesus, loving Him as He loves me and as we love His children. I am a missionary, spreading Jesus' love through relationship and the power of Jesus. It is the best thing I could ever imagine of doing. And I am still finding out today that there is still so much more to Jesus than I will ever know, and that is the journey I am on!

The Awaken DTS starts this thursday. We have 50+ students coming in, hungry for Jesus, and I have the absolute honor of ushering them into the place of knowing Jesus even more!

Thanks for all your prayers and support for everything I have been doing! I am so excited to start this next season and I need people to share in this amazing opportunity! Although you may not be out here in Kona, you can be apart of these student's life and transformation simply by prayer and partnering with me and my wife! As you do, you will reap the rewards of heaven, as Jesus says in scripture!

If you want to know the best ways to partner with me on this amazing journey, you can first and foremost pray for:
1. Strength and wisdom as I lead these students effectively into knowing Jesus more!

2. Transportation! I now live off campus (involuntary) and need a way to get from home to base every day! So I definitely need some form of transportation!

3. Financial support! I know this is always a killer, but I promise that as you sow into me, we are able to sow into these students, meaning that your partnership is making a difference and raising up missionaries for Jesus!

I am still in need of $1,000 of monthly support! If you pray and feel led to help support me, that'd be a tremendous blessing! You can email me at the.daniel.york@gmail.com for any questions and how to support in a way to get a tax write off! Otherwise, you can always mail checks to the address below or just click the PayPal link below. If the link doesn't work, you can always make a donation to my email address through PayPal.com!

Thanks again for everything! I cannot wait to tell you more! And next week, I will let you know where I am leading an outreach team! Woohoo!

Tracking

It's not very rare to be found in a season of stretching and growing. We as believers obviously long to hear the voice of God, especially when it comes to what we are called to do and why we are called to do it. But Jesus is constantly in the process of increasing our faith, as frustrating as it may be sometimes.  This process always seems to test our flesh as well. Will we trust and lean into the grace of Jesus, or are we going to let our flesh win and try to figure everything out ourselves just because we can seem to make certain sense of things in our worldly mind?

Since I have been out here in Kona, the past month has provided me with many challenges and breakthroughs. I thought I knew exactly what I would be doing, but things quickly took a turn and I found myself trying to find my ground. I felt isolated and suddenly unsure about why the Lord even called me out here anyways.

I then had a choice:
Would I try and figure it out myself, or would I fall into the word of the Lord that I am supposed to be out here, even if I didn't understand?

I clung to Jesus, crying out that He would speak and present me with opportunities both short and long term. I go through times of testing, but in the end, Jesus is ALWAYS proven to be faithful, and it is something we forget too easily.

With all that said, I have slowly transitioned my role from staffing the Fire and Fragrance DTS to jumping into the Leadership Track full time.

The leadership track is an open ended track designed to raise up disciples before the Lord who have learned to prioritize His presence, live for His glory, and be led by His Spirit through a lifestyle of corporate and individual worship and intercession centered around the Word of God. It inspires to create mature and effective leaders who walk in great integrity and godly character that could staff a DTS, lead outreaches and pioneer schools and communities in any setting and circumstance. It desires to release evangelists, preachers, teachers and worship leaders who could effectively teach and impart into any setting with great anointing and profound impact.

I have the amazing opportunity to take this and to grow as a leaders as well as serve the base! I am so excited that the Lord brought me to do this and I know it is what I am supposed to do by the grace He has already given me.

In joining this track, I am in desperate need of the provision of Jesus. I want to ask you to first and foremost pray for me! I am in a season of hearing the Lord's voice and am asking you to join me in prayer for clarity, provision, and wisdom as I enter into this season! I also ask that you would pray about partnering with me, even financially! I am still looking for the Lord to provide faithful monthly supporters to help support us $1,000 a month. If you would, please pray about if you are to partner with me in this way! You can email me at the.daniel.york@gmail if you have any questions on the easiest way to donate or support monthly. Or if you want to do a one time donation, click the link below!

I am so expectant and am excited for you to be apart of our journey! I will write again soon to keep you updated on near future plans and visions that the Lord has already been giving me!

Thanks again!

LovEmotion

I have been on quite the journey the past week of really trying to understand what it means to love. It has been one of the most spiritually frustrating, emotionally draining, and most humbling journey so far, and I am still on it. But it is oh so good, because I get to learn from the Master, whose name is Love.

Instead of writing a long blog about the journey, I decided to express my revelation through a poem. The poem type is called a Rondeau. I wrote the first stanza is from the viewpoint of Satan. The next stanza is from my viewpoint. Then the last stanza is from Jesus' point of view. Let me know what you think! Thanks.

LovEmotion

[Satan]

Come follow me, where you are king

Of everything you ever dreamed.

Love is submitted to your rule

Where all other thoughts come from fools

And from your lips, everyone sings.

Where all wisdom from you can ring;

Do not worry about one thing.

Everyone's hearts are your own tool.

Come follow me...

You do not have one single need.

Lost lovers and childrens hearts bleed.

But do not let them take your jewel.

There is no emotion to bring.

Come follow me.

[Me]

I don't understand how I lose

Everytime that I light the fuse

In my own heart and my own mind.

Love is patient and it is kind,

My thoughts of love I have abused.

My own perception gets confused

And He who is Love I accuse,

When really I have just been blind.

I don't understand...

When I overthink, I excuse

All of the truth that I should choose.

No longer will the enemy bind

Truth, because I realize it's fine

I don't understand.

[Jesus]

Come follow me, where I am king

Of everything you ever dreamed.

Love is submitted to my rule

Where I welcome all, even fools

To lift their voices and to sing.

Where all wisdom from me can ring;

Do not worry about a thing.

Use your burdens as your own stool.

Come follow me...

I care to every single need.

Lost lovers and childrens hearts bleed.

And yet, they are my very jewel.

Emotions of love are not cruel.

Come follow me.

The End.

Disguises

It blows my mind how faithful the Lord is to His children, especially when His children are wrapped up in their own flesh and insecurities. The Lord never gives up. For me, this past week has been a battle of hearing the Lord, but believing the enemy and his lies over me. Yet, the thing that amazes me is that the Lord continues to war over me in His pursuit for me to believe truth and love over lies and deceit. I act out in my flesh and my own worldy thinking, yet the Lord never gives up, even when it seems like I create for myself a lost cause.

The Lord delights in giving mercy. He loves to do His job. He created us as humans, knowing that we would be wrapped up in flesh and warred over spiritually all of our lives. But I personally believe that it just makes the Lord that much more impacted and excited when we truly do choose to look to Him...because it requires a choice for us to make, and when we choose the Lord, He is notbaly held in higher significance than any rival over our heart. And when the Lord is chosen over any other lie or attack disguised as momentary satisfaction, it becomes more natural for us to place Him on the throne of our hearts where He belongs.

We are called to be children of God; ones who walk out in radical authority, unhindered joy, undeniable love, and a capturing hope. If we go about our days and let the enemy get to us with his lies, we end up giving him too much credit, and then we naturally let our joy sink with our confidence. When we are depressed, something is wrong, because being a child of the Lord should cause us to be overwhelmed with a joy and love unspeakable...but it is our choice if we want to receive it or not.

I am not saying that our lives should be a joyous explosion of laughter and a constant goody-two-shoe type of feeling, but our lives should hold eternal perspective; that even in the midst of hardship and trial, we realize who we are in the Lord's eyes, and we begin to believe it enough to gain the confidence and strength for every moment. With the joy set before Him, He endured excrutiating suffering. With the joy set before us, we can live our lives as He intended us to.

Just to Feel Alive

When I First came to Kona to do my DTS, the Lord notably did a great deal of work on my heart as He was in the process of transforming me. I underwent incredible change as I began to realize not only who I am in the Lord's eyes, but began to realize who others were in the Lord's eyes as well.

I have never really been in a serious relationship with anyone. I know it was partially because the Lord had immense protection over my life. It was hard for me to trust and to be real vulnerable with any girl. After the third week of my DTS, I prayed and committed to a year of consecration (being set apart only for the Lord) before Jesus. No girls, just Jesus. I had such a fear of the Lord that after my year of consecration, the next girl I begin to pursue was going to be the one I would commit to. This wasn't what the Lord exactly said, but I just remembered that I wanted to take relationships seriously from here on out. I wasn't going to allow something shallow; I wanted the Lord's hand in it all.

January of 2011 came around, and I began to staff the Fire and Fragrance DTS. On February 14th of that year, I met a girl. This was so scary for me because I remembered that the next girl I fall for, I wanted to truly have the fear of the Lord over it and walk it out with complete integrity and honor to myself, the Lord, and the girl. I remember that night, on the 14th, I started to realize I had feelings for this girl. I went to the prayer room and prayed what I felt was a dangerous prayer, but it might have not been. Either way, I said to Jesus, "If this is the girl for me, I commit myself to Your timing and I commit myself to pursue her with all that I have, but You have to open the doors."

Long story short, on March 28th, I embarked on my adventure to Iceland and she went to Mozambique for the next two and a half months. We both agreed to not talk during this time so that we can truly give this whole thing up to the Lord and we believed if this was from Him, He would give it back to us.

Needless to say, on July 5th, 2011, I began to pursue and date my best friend. It was so surreal and amazing! And I continued to have the fear of the Lord over my first ever relationship because I knew that I needed the Lord to be in the center and I knew I needed to cherish this and honor it. We went on many adventures in Kona and Ireland, and the Lord continued to knit our hearts together.

Last sunday, Februay 19th, 2012, I took my best friend out to hang in Portland all day. We shopped, had lunch, and just enjoyed each other's company. After our filled day in Portland, I wanted to surprise her by going to a place neither of us have ever been to. It was the Hoyt Arbetorum (a giant wonderland forest). After walking for a long time and getting lost, I finally saw in the distance a red balloon. I then knew our destination. Below a giant fig tree, there was a blanket with candles, food, roses, a teddy bear (that my best friend and I made together) holding a poem. We walked over and my best friend started to cry. She grabbed the poem and read it. The last line of the poem said, "...just answer one question." I then went on my knee and asked my best friend to marry me. She said, "Yes!"

Our journey has contained a lot more than what is written, but I hope this gives an idea of how ridiculously faithful the Lord has been in this all and how exciting of a time this is!
I am so blessed that later this year, I will be marrying my best friend,
Anna
Katherine
Seistrup!

Thank you Jesus, I am the most blessed man in the world!

[Thanks to Anna's parents, they helped set up the picnic for us, it was awesome!]

Opportune

It is snowing today...the fire is on and I have a coffee sitting next to me. What a perfect day to kick start my blog once again. It has been a while. I guess you could say I have just been having writer's block. Either way, I am back and ready to write all about the new adventures this year holds for me.

As most of you know, I got back from Ireland a few months ago and have been planting myself at home. It has been a sweet time of reuniting with family and friends, but for some reason, this time at home has felt much different from the other times. Since everything with the timing of Ireland sort of fell through, I thought that maybe this were to be a season of being at home. But as of a few days ago, I realized that wasn't the case.

On saturday, I felt the Lord prompt me to watch the Jesus Culutre: Encounter LIve Stream all day...so I did. It is crazy how the Lord uses technology to reach out to people, because I can say that in watching the live stream, I was deeply impacted. The Lord reminded me of a Thursday Night Meeting back in February in Kona, Hawaii, when He softly spoke to me that my time at home was finished. It was a hard reality to be hit by, but my life of missions was truly unfolding.

Since being home, I have loved being with family and friends, but I haven't felt the heavenly peace or any rest since being here. I have felt withdrawn, isolated, and confused. I wanted so desperately for the Lord to speak something...but I got nothing. I cried out that the Lord would make this time clear every day. Then last saturday...He finally did. He is a faithful God that works all things according to our good. In the midst of all of this...the Lord continued to tug on my heart strings of Social Injustice. I have always had a heart for the broken, but this time, the Lord made it clear that most of my ministry will be involved in this sphere. Praise Him!

With that said, next tuesday, I am heading out. There are many open doors leading to opportunity in Oregon, where I will be living for the next few months, praying and planning for what the Lord has for me. If you could, please partner with me in prayer as I seek the Lord in everything He has. Please pray for favor with a job, a place to stay, and all that good stuff. I still feel Ireland is on the horizon, so please pray with me in timing with that as well!

Thank you all for your support and prayer...it means so much to me!

Stuck in Certainty

Well, sorry for the unannounced hiatus from my blog, but I am back and ready to update on all the craziness that has ensued in the past couple months. I have to admit, I miss the blogging world after a while. I feel like my writing may even be a bit rusty, but here is to grace!

In the past couple months, I would say that hasn't been too much revelation on anything new as much as there has been revelation on things of familiarity. The Lord has been pounding the idea holy fear into my heart quite this chapter of my life. "The Fear of the Lord is the Beginning of Wisdom." -Proverbs 1:1. Man, I didn't know that to begin a journey of eternal wisdom would look like this or even take this long. The Lord is the ultimate mediator, and I believe whole heartedly that He is raising up a generation that forgets what it is like to have fear of man and completely walks in a greater understanding of the fear of the Lord. He is our Savior and perfect Father who works things together for our good.

I know I have mentioned this before, but if God desires a relationship with us, that means He desires a living and breathing intaraction of love and deep conversation where we truly listen to everything He says. Prophets are for the edification and confirmation of the word of the Lord. But we have to realize that the Lord speaks directly to us, only if we are willing to listen. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying prophecy and prophets aren't right, but I am saying that we need to always trace everything we hear back to the word of the Lord directly.

As you guys know, I finished up an amazing scouting trip to Ireland with a group of 12. It was absolutely incredible. And also as you may know, I was planning on going back out in February to launch a long-term two year plant out in Ireland with this group of people. Since being home, the Lord seemed to be speaking something different. It is scary to not know exactly what He is doing, but I guess that is why He calls it the fear of the Lord. The community is still going out in February to Ireland, and this excites me more than I can say, and I know I will be apart of this community in one way or another. I still feel called to go out, but as of now, I feel a fear of the Lord on the timing and feel He is telling me to not go out right away. It is His deal, not mine, so I trust Him and am so excited that this community is still going out and that I will be apart of it soon. This is what I have been praying for Ireland; that there would be a group of selfless lovers giving their lives to the land, and that is what Ireland is getting. Praise Jesus!

If you guys could just be praying for me and that the Lord brings immense clarity for me in this season, being as I am not fully sure where He is taking me or what He is doing yet. I know it is a season of intimacy, preparation, fear of the Lord, and humility. As far as more clarity, I am not sure. So thank you guys so much for your prayers and support! I will continue to keep you updated on everything that comes!

Much Love!

Anything Means Anything

Why is it so hard sometimes to actually believe who we really are? The Lord will speak and reveal to us His thoughts over us and we will believe Him for a moment until the enemy simply distracts us with other insecurites. I have been on this journey with the Lord, intensely, for the past two years now. As soon as I feel like I get it, more is brought up in my heart that I have to deal with. But it is all for the sake of clearing my vision so I can truly see who I am in the Lord's eyes.

The Lord will never put us in any situation that we cannot handle with His help. Remember, He is the one that equips us and enables us. So, will we choose to walk in the grace set before us, or will we simply allow ourselves to be distracted by the enemy making a circus act out of our own insecurities? The Lord speaks who we are, and that is enough to break every chain. Being confident is one thing, but walking out in that confidence with a humility and grace is another. We need to know who we are, walk out in confidence as the Lord speaks, and we will always be readily equipped for what is next. The enemy just sits off on the side, trying to distract us, but the Lord is far more fascinating.

The Lord is the one who speaks our character; He is the one taking us on this journey because He wants to. Let's choose to listen to Him, because when we do, we will always walk ahead with the joy set before us in the midst of any circumstance or relationship.

I am currently in Oregon with my special lady. It has been a time of rest, processing, and battling these very insecurities in the midst of relationship; but it has also been a time of breakthrough and complete joy from the Lord. I am SO happy. As you guys know, I just got back from my two months in Ireland. I am still in debt with to my school because a lot of us didn't ever fully get the money we needed. I still need $600 to pay it all off. If you guys could pray with me and continue to ask the Lord to reveal His will and joy in the midst of this all, that would be amazing. And if you do feel led to help support me, that would be such a blessing. You can click the "Ireland" tab above to find out how to donate!

Thanks again!

Re: Repeat

How many times now have we heard that the Lord is all about the journey and not just the destination? This has been something I have been told for the past couple years now, but the Lord still has to continually remind me of it almost everyday. I think sometimes it just becomes so easy to get caught up in such rhetoric and familiar structure that we begin to take ownership of our journey, not always meaning to force the destination and forget the path to it; but it just seems so easy to.

The Lord loves to bless His children, even in the smallest of things. He wants to be revealed; He longs for us to acknowledge Him in the midst of our journey.   If we begin to recognize Jesus in our journey, the destination will be taken care of and we will never find ourselves dissatisfied or disappointed in our own individual journey with our King. How joyous and and magnificent is our Creator, who so longs to be with us. We should just as willingly desire to be with Him. And when we recognize this desire, our journey will become the most significant act of intimacy.

Tomorrow, I head out of Ireland and then head to Scotland for two weeks. My Ireland outreach has been more than I could even ask for. The Lord's favor and faithfulness has been made manifest in my life more than ever before. Thank you all who made this a possibility for me. An update video will come shortly to explain all that has happened.

In the meantime, I am in urgent need of close to $1,500 for the rest of my travels. I have a debt of about $600 towards my Ireland team that needs to be paid off. Then I need to purchase my ticket back home to the states. I am planning on flying back on the 31st of October, and that will be around $700 plus a couple hundred in other travel expenses. If you could, please pray for me and that the Lord has His way! That would mean a ton! If you could also pray if you are supposed to help support me financially, that would be amazing. Expecting the Expected

As humans, we so often label everything we do with our own expectations. I think it is valid to be expectant, but I sometimes think that when we so rely on our own expectations, that leaves more room for disappointment. Because, truthfully, the Lord is the only one who knows the plans that He has for us and the expectations that lie behind them. I have written about this before, but even with our dreams and plans, we stamp our own label of expectation on them and feel that they need to look just like our own perception. Now, I am not saying it is bad to have expectations, but I am just learning how to balance being expectant and having expectations.

Coming out to Ireland is far more different than what I originally expected. Technically, my team and I are doing everything we initially planned, but spitirually and emotionally, it has just been different. I love it though. I love how the Lord surprised His children. But when lining up what we have done with my own expectations, I have realized how much I have tried to make it look like my own perception, rather than receiving the manna that the Lord has prepared for me. I begin to get weighed down with pushing my own ideas and thoughts into the Lord's. So I found out it is better that I just stop and receive. When I take a step back and look at the bigger picture, my expectations are blown out of the water and I then become humbled at the fact that the Lord is more committed to me and Ireland than I will ever be!

Being in a relationship is similar. I can place all my own expectations on how I feel a relationship should look, but than that can cause me to be selfish in a way and not allow the beauty of an unfolding love take place!

In reference to Ireland, we have just under a month left here in Ireland for our scouting trip before we head off. We are traveling around the island some more and are so expectant for the Lord to speak His heart even more to our team! After Ireland, I am heading off to Scotland to visit and join in on a conference. From there I am heading off to Iceland to reconnect with relationships built there. I am so excited, but am still in need of some prayer and support! So if you could, please continue to pray for me and my team that we truly are sensitive to the Lord's Spirit. Also, I am still in need of around $2,000 in order for all this to happen! If you could pray, that would be amazing. And if you do feel led to help support me, that would be such a tremendous blessing! You can click the "Ireland" tab above to find out how!

Grasping An Imagination

Buried embers will blaze again.

It is a crazy feeling when you are actually faced with the reality of your desires and dreams. When we dream, we never actually apply our physical element. It is up to our imagination until the very moment we are released to walk in the reality of our dreams. Our God is an amazing God. The very fact that He would allow us to dream dreams of reality with Him astound me.

With that said, being out in Ireland is absolutely amazing, but the reality of this dream looks so much different than then imagination of it all. Pioneering a team to lead this nation under revival with the glory of the Lord is such an incredible privilege, but you better believe that you are going to come under the powers of darkness and hell in the midst of it. Truthfully, in releasing the glory of the Lord over this nation, we are scaring the enemy to his core. There are spiritual strongholds set up by the enemy himself that my team and I have hit head on. It has been hard. But so good.

Ireland is a slave of disunity, loneliness, rejection, independence, hurt, etc. But at the same time, this nation has a destiny and purpose of creativity, family, love, hope, refuge, etc. Since we want to bring a sense of family into this nation, we are undoubtedly going to hit the spirit of disunity and loneliness. But the amazing thing is, the Lord our God has equipped each of us specifically, and He says in His word that we have the authority to walk in the opposite spirit. As we do that, breakthrough truly takes place, and we produce light to replace the darkness in the land!

Ireland has been amazing. We have just over a month left of our scouting trip. I am still in dire need of your help, especially in the area of finances. The Lord is so good. But in order for me to continue to be out in this land, bringing the heart of the Lord and merging it with the heart of the nation, I still need around $3,000. It is a lot to us, but not to Him. If you could pray that our team has total protection and guidance from Jesus, that would be amazing. But if you do feel led to help support me, that would be such an immense blessing. You can click the "Ireland" tab above to find out how to donate!

Praying for you guys! Thanks for your support. With this update, I will be putting a video update out explaining more of my time out here in Ireland!

Love you guys!
