Justice League Heroes

Things that seem so unfair,
where darkness seems so thick,
the light is all the more evident.

Our school had the privilege this week to hear from Paul and Susi Childers, the leaders here of the PhotogenX school. This couple has been outstanding in sharing their heart for justice. Paul spoke the first day on the biblical framework of justice and had our whole class read through the book of Amos. The book of Amos is Powerful. It is crazy to read about God's wrath on a nation due to rebellion and sin, and then to look at the way our world is now and to understand that we are so much more in depth in the things that hinder our relationship with God. When we look at social justice issues and try to wrap our minds around sex trafficking, abortion, slavery, etc., that should stir something in us to want to see justice be poured out over the nations.

"Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains, your justice like the great deep. O LORD, you preserve both man and beast." -Psalm 36:6

God is using His children to carry out His justice. When we look at what is happening on and off the screen of this world, our hearts should jump at the opportunity to do something about it. Susi Childers than spoke out on being
the voice to the voiceless.
We need to sometimes look into the eyes of those who suffer, or else we just won't understand. To be the voice to the voiceless, we need to take someone's position and speak on behalf of them with no voice. God will give you the grace to walk where He tells you, but it is our decision to walk it out. Susi spoke on some really tough issues, but shared the light of being the voice for these people who have no voice.
What one generation allows,
the other generation embraces.

Our school had another 24 hour prayer/fast this last friday night until saturday night. It was a lot different as opposed to our other one a few weeks ago, but it was so awesome! I was able to help lead a set with a couple people saturday, and it was so much fun! The Holy Spirit was there and we had grace to help carry out a good set. So that was a blessing.

This thursday I am heading out for my outreach. It is going to be so hard saying goodbye to all the people that have been apart of this growing experience with me. God has really blessed me with amazing people to surround me and edify me in the hard and good times. But I am excited for all of them and their outreaches as well.

I just want to thank each and every one of you that has help support me along the way. Your prayers have been so effective. Thank you guys. I am blessed by all that you guys have done. Only 3 more months of DTS left. I am praying for you guys and can't wait to hear what the Lord is doing out there. If you guys could continue to pray for me and my team as we step into the next thing that God has for us, that would be awesome!

Here I am Lord,
send me.
Thanks Guys!

Fish Sticks and Carrots

I find myself being consciously aware of the times we are in and how our generation is going to experience such a drastic move of God that we can't even fathom. The Lord is raising up an army; He is awakening people that will go out in His name and on top of the foundation of His love that will be willing to sacrifice everything we have in order to see the light of Christ come into play. This week here at DTS, a man named Mark Anderson spoke. Mark created the Impact World Tour and has pioneered the Call 2 All vision here at YWAM. He spoke this week, preparing most of us who are going to outreach soon. His teachings contained such truth and revelation into things that Followers should already know. He spoke that we have the mindsets of Christ. Jesus gave us the Holy Spirit so we can do the same things He did and even greater. The gifts of the Spirit are available to us so we can use them, even beyond the maturity of ourselves! He also mentioned that we are all ministers according to the bible. Everything Jesus walked in is given to us...it is a promise. So why not step out in that power and understanding rather than ask for it because we already have it? Every promise of God is a key. God gives us these keys, which resemble responsibility. If we don't unlock the promises of God, they won't be ours. We have the entire kingdom of heaven, but we don't realize it and don't believe it. We need to start acting out loud in light of the promises of God!

Quick story. On Tuesday night, I went out downtown with a man named Ben from my school, and two guys named Connor and Rex from another school. We went out to go witness. I had a dream about this before that I would go out with such boldness and no fear of man. Well this time, that dream was fulfilled. It was an amazing night of witnessing. People were so open. We ran into one man with crutches, completely drunk. His name was MAd Mike. LONG story short, we prayed for healing over him, and he was healed! He could then walk. We began to talk with him as he flew the f-bomb around every other word. He began to recognize a deeper love inside of us and mentioned his girlfriend broke up with him. We began to witness and proclaim the love of God over his life. He began to weep questioning if it was real or not. A random guy even came out of no where to say that what we were saying was true. I said, "That is 5 people proclaiming the same love of God over your life. The Lord is after your life Mad Mike." He began to weep and he surrendered his life to the Lord. We then baptized him in the Holy Spirit and believe that he is now part of the kingdom of God. The Lord is so good!

As most of you know, I am heading out for my outreach in 10 days (April 1st). I am SO excited, knowing the Lord is going to move immensely during this time. My team continues to amaze me, and I look forward to spending the next 3 months with them. All of us need a significant amount of money in. I still need around $1,500. If you guys could please pray for a release of finances over this trip, that would be amazing. If you can help at all, please let me know. You can email me at the.daniel.york@gmail.com, or you can facebook message me too. Also, at the top of my blog near the tab "home", there is a tab that says "Help Donate". Click on that to donate through PayPal! Thanks so much! Love you all!

It's Too Good Not To Be True

"It's not about your ability, it is about your willingness."

David Damien, a prophet and our speaker for this week, has probably been one of our most deep speakers. His heart for this generation to really wake up and get over ourselves so we can move in the spirit for the kingdom of heaven to come down is outstanding. He explained the importance of trusting the Lord. It's funny to really think about this and understand that trusting the Lord is a lot harder than we think. We have to fully surrender to the Holy Spirit and step out on fear of God, not fear of man.

David even mentioned, "The world knows how to surrender to demonic spirits better than the church knows how to surrender to the Holy Spirit". He wasn't trying to come down on us, just show us the importance of fully surrendering to the Lord more than we have realized. We don't make our own will in light of Christ, we surrender to His will. Let us die to the expectations of ourselves and let us go through death everyday to find life in Christ everyday and the will He has for us. Trusting in God is willing to die obeying Him rather than live disobeying Him.

David Damien also expressed that the history of the bible is unfolding before us even today. We are living in bible times. My brother and some other YWAM friends have taken the idea that we are the 29th Chapter in Acts. Either way, the bible is being unveiled before us today and we are living in those times. It is crazy to think about!

It has also been an exciting week because the cafe that I work at here got a new espresso machine! I know...you are so excited too! The guy training us on it, Guy, is a pastor back in Indiana, but he does cafe ministries and has entered into espresso making contests and he even roasts his own espresso. He is pretty cool. I also found out that he is going to Newcastle, Northern Ireland to start a church and cafe ministry. So, I can't wait to talk with him more about that and see what goes down!

It is also crazy to think that it is only 18 days away until I head out to Amsterdam/Germany. It has been so fun preparing and hanging out with my team as a family. I know God is going to do some crazy things in these places that we are going to. If you guys could continue to pray for me as I get ready to head out, that would be so amazing. And if you guys do feel led to help me financially, that would be wonderful too. I still need around $1,500. Please let me know. You can email me, facebook me, or even text me while I am out here in Kona. Thanks so much guys!

Your Head Is On Fire

A soul longing to be
Set ablaze with Holy Fire.
Consuming from the inside out
A fire of Your desire.

A Holy downpour
My soul never goes in drought.
A fire of Your desire
Consuming from the inside out.

A soul cleansed white as snow,
Even the dirtiest liar.
Consuming from the inside out
A fire of Your desire.

Only by You, Lord,
Will you remove all doubt.
A fire of Your desire
Consuming from the inside out.

Oh Lord, let me be
Set ablaze with Your Holy Fire.
Consume me from the inside out,
So I can be a fire of Your desire.

This past week, one of my school leaders, Andy Byrd, spoke about revival. Andy Byrd speaking on revival is one of the most intense teachings I have ever heard. Andy has such a huge heart for revival and reformation. So does Jake Hamilton, who has "revival" and "reformation" tattooed on both of his arms. Jake Hamilton co-opped with Any Byrd this week in speaking on revival. Andy began to touch on the history of it all. And Jake Hamilton began to speak truth into who we are in Christ and how revival is possible today. Jake Hamilton then lead our worship night on thursday. You can check him out on iTunes. But within the worship, we began to see healings take place. Some people were cured of knee problems, jaw problems, back problems, and many more. It was like a healing fest just broke out of no where! God is good. It was just such an honor to have a group of guys really leading us in to the fact that this generation is alive and is moving into seeing true revival and reformation. It is not something we have to wait for. We already have it. But we just need to wake up and bring the revival to the nations.

This last friday night. Jake Hamilton led us into a 24 hour burn (prayer and worship). Hamilton started off at 6pm with an amazing worship set that was 2 hours long. We then moved into our prayer room and began praying and worshipping as a body of Christ. Throughout the whole night and the next day, the students rotated and led worship while all of the outreach teams took one hour out of the night (mine was from 4 am-5am) to pray. It was such a fun time to see the prayer room packed with people throughout the whole night! We then ended it with a final 2 hour bang from 4pm-6pm. It was a glorious time. We had so much fun in doing it.

Everyone here is so awesome still. The community just keeps growing in compassion and love from the foundation of God's love for us. Outreach is approaching very quickly. Only about 3-4 weeks away. Thank you guys for your prayer and support. Please continue to pray about helping me financially. They extended our deadline for a couple more days. I still need around $2,000 so please let me know if you can help! Thanks again guys. I hope all is well!

God bless,

-Daniel
